Ploddington Art Advisory was founded by Leopold Florescu, and made its first purchases in August 2020; a wonderful drawing by Bryan Organ and a sculpture by Brian Willsher, both pictured below. We have since worked with many collectors, and have sourced works by highly regarded Modern British artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, and Victor Pasmore.
We also specialise in sourcing works by lesser-known artists, particularly those who have remained undiscovered by the wider British art market. Some of these are listed in Recent Acquisitions.
Most recently, we have worked closely with academic collectors and interior designers, as well as individuals interested in decorating their homes. Whether an oil painting, sculpture, or fabric, we’re known for finding works with wall-power, subtlety, and history.
Our method of working differs from client to client, and changes to suit their individual needs, but one format which has proved particularly successful is the sending out of monthly ‘shortlists’ of between five and twenty works. These shortlists are tailored to the tastes of each client, and contain works which we recommend as salient purchases, from which our clients are free to choose some, many, or indeed all of the works to add to their collections.
